I’m back with an update on the bedroom project today!
My new bedding from JCP came in and I really like it!
Here is a closeup so you can see the pattern.
It looks so much better with the ivory rug than the white duvet did. I am still going to get some more throw pillows that I found on Etsy, so it’s not quite done yet.
I also played around with styling our nightstands…
I like how mind turned out with some décor books, a pic of Andy and A.J., a piece of coral from a beach trip, and my Cinderella castle snow globe from Disney
But, the biggest change is this perfect chest of drawers I found on Craigslist for only $240!!!
This thing is massive! About 6 ft. tall with 8 drawers. And it is in almost perfect condition! The guy selling it got divorced and was downsizing. He said it cost over $1000 new and that it had barely been used. He was asking $300 but I did some haggling since Andy was there ready to load it right then. I could tell the guy really just wanted to get rid of it. So I think I got a great deal!!!
The only problem is that because it is so tall, our 42” TV would not work on top of it. It would almost reach the ceiling. So, we had to move to plan B. Actually it would be plan C or D by now but who’s counting???
Anyway, the new plan is to get a smaller TV. And I’m thinking it is going to go on the wall beside the bed, mounted on a swing arm so that we can turn it to face us when we watch it. Andy is leery of hanging it on that wall due to the plumbing, but I think he is just going to have to get over it. I have the utmost faith that he can hang it without bursting a pipe. (hopefully)
So, what happened to the 42” you might ask??? Well, let me give you a hint. A certain 7, almost 8 year old is very happy.
Yes, we put it in A.J.’s room. But, the only thing he can do on it is play the Wii. We are not letting him get TV programming in his room just yet!
